We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join us to support Mike on a part time basis. To be considered for this role, you would need to have a Full UK driving license.

The role
Mike is in his early 30s and lives independently in his own home in Wareham. He communicates using PECS boards, which support him in making choices and decisions throughout his day.
Mike has a big love for music – Tina Turner is a firm favourite! At home, he enjoys baking sweet treats and spending time with his support team.
He’s always up for a bit of adventure. Whether it’s a trip to the Bovington Tank Museum, a visit to the seaside town of Swanage, or a mini break to Blackpool with his mum and support staff, Mike loves to get out and about.
When the weather calls for staying indoors, you’ll often find him enjoying a Disney film with his support team.
Hours of work
Shifts are completed on a two week rolling rota averaging at 15.5 hours per week. Sleep ins come with an additional payment.
Week 1
Sunday - 15.00pm – 22.00pm + sleep
Week 2
Monday - 10.00am – 15.00pm
Thursday - 15.00pm – 22.00pm + sleep
Sunday - 10.00am – 22.00pm + sleep

A day in the life of a Support Worker would include:
* Maintaining consistent and accurate records regarding care plans, finances, appointments and medication
* Sharing your skills and life knowledge with the people we support to enable good life skills and independence when living in the community
* Following the support plan in plan for each person we support to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour
* Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication
