Are you ready to step into a pivotal role with real influence in a thriving, forward-thinking company? We're on the lookout for an experienced Company Accountant to join my clients growing business located just outside Blackpool.
This is a newly created position and your chance to make the role your own, shape the finance function, and be a key driver in the continued growth journey. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll be a trusted advisor and a core member of the Senior Management Team - your insights and leadership will help guide strategic decision-making across the business.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leading and mentoring a small but dynamic finance team (currently 3 team members)
Overseeing all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance
Working closely with the MD and SMT to develop and implement financial strategies
Managing cash flow, working capital, and ensuring robust financial controls are in place
Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts and analysis
Liaising with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, and advisors
Supporting the company through its next stage of growth and investmentWhat We're Looking For:
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with a strong commercial acumen
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an SME or growing business
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop and inspire a team
Comfortable being hands-on while also thinking strategically
Proficiency with accounting software and strong Excel skills
