Continuous Improvement Engineer
The Opportunity:
Are you a passionate and driven continuous improvement champion, able to identify CI opportunities, help create solutions, and create innovative business cases? Then we have a newly created position for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to work on some really exciting CI Projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Leading and co-ordinating the start-up phase of newly created continuous improvement projects, maintain and report results during implementation phase and plan the effective handover to ensure results and systems are sustained.
Reporting activity, progress and results to Leadership as required, escalating any blockers.
Advising and helping run Kaizen events, as well as shop floor improvement activities.
Coordinating and managing multiple continuous improvement projects and implement in line with Plant Strategic Plan (Hoshin).
Acting as a central reference point for information and help in all aspects of continuous improvement, championing methods across the business and provide the support and guidance necessary to successfully implement throughout the manufacturing plant.
Requirements:
2 years’ experience in a Manufacturing or Engineering position working on a variety of continuous improvement projects.
Understanding of manufacturing systems, quality tools and their practical application.
Understanding of Lean principles and tools (Kaizen, 5 why, 5s, TPM etc.) training will be given.
Natural influencer with the ability to inspire confidence in others.
Confident communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects to achieve set targets, prioritising as necessary to support the business needs.Pay and Hours:
Mon-Fri 8-4
