Position: Contract Manager (Water infrastructure)

Salary: Up to £85,000 per annum + package
Are you a seasoned professional with a strong background in managing civil engineering or water infrastructure projects? A leading Tier One Contractor, working on Southern Water projects, is seeking a dynamic Contract Manager to join their team and oversee projects across Hampshire and West Sussex.
The Role
As a Contract Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of water infrastructure projects. You'll be responsible for financial control, health and safety compliance, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, while upholding the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Planning:
·Develop detailed project plans to ensure seamless delivery.
·Oversee procurement processes to avoid delays and ensure value for money.
·Ensure site teams adhere to commercial policies and procedures.
·Analyse progress reports, costs, and forecasts to drive project efficiency.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
·Lead by example to promote health, safety, and environmental best practices.
·Conduct senior manager site inspections and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
Quality Assurance:
·Oversee the creation and maintenance of QA documentation.
·Promote best practices across all projects.
Customer Relations:
·Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
·Lead progress meetings and ensure the minimal community impact of projects.
Key Metrics:
·Timely project delivery within budget and without safety incidents.
·Adherence to deadlines and company objectives.
·Accurate and timely reporting of progress and costs.
About You
We're looking for someone with a solid background in managing civil engineering projects, particularly in the water sector. Strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and a focus on health and safety are essential.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
·Extensive project management experience in a civil/water environment.
·Proficiency with NEC contracts and MS Projects (P6 experience is advantageous).
·HNC/HND/Degree in a related field (or equivalent).
·SMSTS and CSCS certifications.
·Excellent people management and mentoring skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
·Chartered Engineer status (CEng MICE or equivalent).
·NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
