Our client, a well-established, family-run engineering firm based in Wolverhampton, are looking to recruit an experienced machinist to join their close-knit team. Specialising in bespoke and batch precision work.
The Role:
As a Conventional Machinist, you’ll be working with manual milling machines, lathes, and drilling equipment to manufacture a wide variety of components to tight tolerances. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys a varied workload in a supportive workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate manual milling machines, centre lathes, and pillar drills
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Work to precision tolerances
Inspect components using standard measuring equipment
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines
Requirements:
Proven experience as a manual/conventional machinist
Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and tolerances
Skilled in setting up and operating milling machines, lathes, and drills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Positive attitude and team-oriented approach
