Job Description
Milk Education are recruiting for confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to join Secondary Schools in Leeds on a short-term, day-to-day basis starting ASAP!
This flexible position is ideal for anyone looking to gain classroom experience or continue their education journey in a dynamic, rewarding environment. We’re particularly keen to hear from individuals available for morning emergency cover calls who can step into classrooms at short notice to support continuity of learning.
You’ll be working within schools that champion values such as community, aspiration, and responsibility, creating an inclusive and ambitious environment for both students and staff.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Cover Supervisor:
Supervising whole classes during teacher absences using pre-set lesson plans
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a focused, respectful learning environment
Supporting students of all abilities with their learning during cover lessons
Responding to emergency cover needs efficiently and professionally
Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience working with young people in an educational or youth setting
Strong classroom presence and confident behaviour management skills
Educated to A-Level standard or above – ideal for aspiring teachers or recent graduates
Ability to follow lesson plans and provide clear instruction in a range of subjects
