About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our network of dedicated educators. As a Cover Supervisor, you will take on a pivotal role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of regular teachers. This is an exciting opportunity to work across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Your Key Responsibilities:
• Supervising whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring a productive and respectful learning environment.
• Delivering pre-set lesson plans and maintaining student engagement.
• Managing student behaviour in line with school policies and promoting positive behavior.
• Providing support to students with SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
• Collaborating with teaching staff and senior leaders to maintain high educational standards.
• Offering feedback to teachers on student progress and classroom management.
Ideal Candidate:
• A confident, adaptable, and proactive individual with excellent classroom management skills.
• Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role is an advantage.
• A strong understanding of Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 curriculum requirements.
• A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse groups of students.
• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
