Job Description
Milk Education are recruiting for a reliable and proactive Cover Supervisor to join a Secondary School in Wakefield on a short-term, day-to-day supply basis, starting ASAP!
We are looking for flexible Cover Supervisors who are available for morning emergency cover calls and can step in at short notice to ensure continuity of learning across various subjects and year groups.
You’ll be joining a forward-thinking and inclusive school, proud to champion values such as diversity and aspiration.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an enthusiastic individual—whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor or someone looking to gain classroom experience—to play a key role in keeping learning on track when teachers are absent.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Cover Supervisor:
Delivering pre-prepared lessons across different subjects as a Cover Supervisor
Managing classroom behaviour and creating a focused learning environment
Supporting students of all abilities and maintaining a calm and positive classroom
Responding to emergency cover needs and adapting quickly to new classroom settings
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience working with young people in an educational or youth setting
Strong behaviour management skills and confidence in delivering lessons
Educated to A Level or above (a degree is desirable but not essential)
Ability to handle emergency cover situations and follow teacher lesson plans effectively
