We are working on behalf of a well-established further education provider in Bromley to find an exceptional Director of English and Maths. This is a key senior post within the college’s leadership team, reporting directly to the Deputy Principal, with responsibility for leading curriculum innovation, teaching excellence, and student success across multiple sites.

Your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading the strategic development and innovation of English and maths delivery across campuses
* Managing and motivating a cross-site team, ensuring outstanding teaching, learning and assessment
* Delivering high-quality learner outcomes, positive progression routes, and career-readiness
* Shaping a curriculum aligned with local and national employer needs, including apprenticeships and adult learning
* Owning KPIs, curriculum growth planning, budget management and compliance with quality frameworks
* Championing continuous improvement in student experience, attendance, destination tracking and parental engagement
* Driving improvement in GCSE and Functional Skills delivery, both as standalone and embedded provision
* Liaising with stakeholders, awarding bodies and quality teams to ensure inspection readiness
What we’re looking for:
* A degree and a recognised teaching qualification (DTTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed)
* Proven success in managing English and/or maths within further education or an equivalent setting
* A track record of raising standards, implementing curriculum innovations and achieving measurable success
* Excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex multi-site operations
* Experience with curriculum planning, performance data, and staff development
* Confidence using digital tools and data-driven methods to enhance delivery and learner engagement
