Data Cabling Engineer - Ireland (Field-Based)
Location: Field-based, within 1 hour commute of Dublin
Salary: Circa €35,000 per annum + Overtime + Potential Car Allowance
Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term (FTC) with potential for extension
Are you an experienced infrastructure engineer with a knack for structured cabling and on-site deployments?
We're working with a technology services provider who is seeking a Cabling and Infrastructure Deployment Engineer to join their growing field engineering team. You'll be part of a dynamic and collaborative crew spread across the UK & Ireland, delivering best-in-class solutions to enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation, termination, and testing of structured data cabling at customer sites
Site surveys and pre-deployment inspections
Hands-on installation and guided configuration of IT hardware
Liaising with engineering and logistics teams to ensure seamless deployments
Supporting 'smart hands' tasks during business hours
Maintaining accurate documentation and providing post-deployment feedback
What You'll Bring:
3+ years' experience in data/network cabling (field-based)
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
Clear communicator and customer-focused
Proactive mindset and willingness to travel for projects (including occasional overseas work)
Full, clean driving licence required
Experience with POS systems is a bonus, but not essential
