Salary: £51,000 basic + £2,500 shift allowance + 10% bonus
Shifts: Continental (12-hour, rotating days and nights)
We are recruiting on behalf of a long-standing client—a global leader in data hosting—for a Shift Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their in-house engineering team at a flagship data centre in Hertfordshire.
This is a permanent role, ideally suited to an experienced engineer looking for long-term career progression in a secure and well-structured environment.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Monitoring and maintaining critical electrical and M&E infrastructure.
Responding to faults and ensuring all systems are operating to the highest standards.
Supporting the safe operation of electrical systems and maintaining compliance with all relevant procedures and guidelines.
The focus of this position is reliability, professionalism, and technical integrity in a business-critical setting.Candidate Requirements
Recognised qualifications in electrical engineering (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent).
Experience in a critical environment is preferred (data centres, finance, pharma, etc.) but not essential.
A solid, stable career history—this role is not suited to those with frequent job changes.
Strong communication skills and a conscientious approach to work.
Must hold Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK, with a minimum of 5 years continuous UK residency (due to site security clearance requirements).What’s On Offer
