Data Services Manager
Akkodis are currently working in partnership with a leading service provider to recruit an experienced Data Services Manager to lead a team of data professionals in the design, development, and maintenance of data systems and services. This role requires strong data governance, technical skills and leadership abilities.
The Role
As a Data Services Manager you will lead a team of data professionals to deliver high-quality data solutions and services on time and within budget.
The Responsibilities
Mentor and coach team members to foster their professional growth.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritise project and BAU tasks.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Manage the data services lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure targets are achieved or exceeded.
Deliver projects to deadlines whilst ensuring adherence to data standards and best practices.
Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in data services.
Ensure appropriate levels of controls and security considerations with regard to data assets.
Regularly test and maintain all controls in your area of responsibility.
Documentation of design processes using core data principles
Maintain appropriate controls and security considerations in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
Own the data quality control and analysis for inconsistencies and apply corrective measures.
The Requirements
Previous Data Governance experience
Previous Line Management experience
Excellent skills in BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Sigma).
Experience of design, implementation, and management of data warehouses.
