DEPOT TEAM LEADER
To manage Operators effectively, ensuring the site and its technical installations are maintained in optimal condition and used safely. The goal is to consistently deliver high-quality service to customers.
DEPOT TEAM LEADER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure staffing levels and capabilities are optimally balanced.
* Allocate tasks and monitor progress, execution, and quality of work.
* Identify process bottlenecks and propose improvements.
* Conduct team meetings, performance reviews, and appraisals.
* Organise and actively engage in key operational tasks such as loading/unloading vehicles, crate washing, recycling processes, sorting returnable items (RTIs), and repairing crates, dollies, pallets, and other packaging materials.
* Support inventory accuracy by taking an active role in stock checks.
* Set handling priorities and provide hands-on support when necessary.
* Monitor logistics performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and report results to the Site Manager.
* Act as the first point of contact for customers regarding the delivery of logistical services.
* Propose and implement ideas for cost-saving and quality improvement (e.g., step changes and continuous improvement initiatives).
* Monitor and evaluate critical business processes essential to daily operations.
* Perform preventive maintenance and assess wear and tear and work with the Maintenance Engineer to evaluate potential faults and adjust plans accordingly.
* Track performance of installations using KPIs and report findings to the Depot Manager.

DEPOT TEAM LEADER REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
* Intermediate vocational education with relevant experience in logistics.
* Proven experience in team leadership or people management.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (33 days per annum) plus Birthday off
* 6AM to 6PM 4 on 4 off days only
