Deputy Headteacher - Specialist Education Specialist Education | KS1 - KS3 Location: Stoke on trent Salary: £55K + Benefits Contract: Full-time, Permanent We are proud to be working in partnership with a leading provider of specialist education to recruit an outstanding Deputy Headteacher for one of their high-performing schools. This is a rare opportunity to take on a senior leadership position within an organisation that is committed to transforming the lives of children and young people with additional needs. About the Role As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a central role in the strategic and operational leadership of the school. You will support the Headteacher in delivering an ambitious vision for inclusive, high-quality education and act as a trusted leader within the wider team. Key responsibilities include: Providing strong, values-led leadership as part of the Senior Leadership Team Overseeing the day-to-day running of the school and deputising for the Headteacher when required Leading on curriculum development and driving academic progress across all key stages Monitoring pupil outcomes and championing high standards in teaching and learning Supporting the development and performance of teaching and support staff Contributing to whole-school improvement planning and policy development Acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and promoting a safe, nurturing environment for all studentsAbout You We’re looking for an exceptional leader who is passionate about specialist education and ready to make a meaningful impact. The ideal candidate will: Have senior leadership experience within a school setting Demonstrate a successful track record of raising standards and leading school improvement Bring deep knowledge of the OFSTED framework and ISS Have experience managing safeguarding, behaviour, and inclusion across a school Understand the SEND Code of Practice and how to support children with diverse learning needs Be confident in staff management, curriculum planning, and whole-school leadershipWhy Join?
