Our well-established nursery in Portishead is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of young children in a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day operations of the nursery.
Lead and inspire the nursery team to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted and EYFS regulations.
Maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children.
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Assist with staff training, development, and performance management.
Manage administrative tasks, including record-keeping and health & safety policies.
Requirements:
A Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.
Previous experience in a leadership role within a nursery setting.
Strong understanding of EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A positive, proactive, and professional approach.
A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
