Design Coordinator
Location: St Albans or Reading
Salary: £45,000–£50,000+
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
A leading civil engineering and infrastructure client is looking for an experienced Design Coordinator to join their Southern Region team, supporting Water and Wastewater projects.
You’ll assist the Design Manager with coordinating design activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external consultants to ensure efficient, buildable solutions.
Design Coordinator Key responsibilities:
Coordinate designs to meet budget, schedule, and specifications
Support CDM and Principal Designer duties
Oversee consultants and technical inputs
Bridge communication between design and construction teams
Manage design risk, change, and handover documentation
Design Coordinator Requirements:
Civil Engineering degree/HNC or equivalent (or working towards)
Experience in water/wastewater infrastructure
Understanding of Temporary Works
BIM awareness and strong MS Office skills
Excellent coordination and communication skills
