Job Description
Design Engineer – Data Centres – Dublin
Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering-focused organization, they have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector. We are currently constructing multiple Turnkey Data Centre Projects across Europe, equating to over 500 MW of IT load in flight.
We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced QA Lead join our team. This position will be based on-site in Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities
Develop and Review Technical Drawings:
Prepare, review, and update detailed engineering drawings and specifications for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in line with project requirements and industry standards.
Coordinate with Multidisciplinary Teams:
Work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and IT infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of design solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure Compliance and Standards Adherence:
Ensure all designs meet local building codes, safety regulations, and client-specific data centre standards such as Uptime Institute Tier levels, ASHRAE, and ISO certifications.
Support Design Validation and Change Management:
Assist with design reviews, clash detection, and validation using BIM tools. Track design changes, update documentation, and manage revisions in collaboration with the project management team.
Provide Technical Support During Construction:
Offer ongoing engineering support to site teams during the construction phase, including resolving technical queries, coordinating installation details, and participating in commissioning activities.
Requirements
Must have engineering related Degree level qualification or equivalent trades background
Data Centre experience is preferred
Must be situated within commutable distance of site in Dublin
