Are you a passionate and creative Design and Technology teacher looking to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers? Supply Desk is currently seeking a dedicated DT teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Watford.
This is a full-time role, starting after the May half-term or in September, offering an exciting opportunity to teach students across a range of DT disciplines in a supportive and engaging environment.

Role & Responsibilities:
Teach Design and Technology to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students KS5 if able), delivering engaging lessons across a variety of specialisms.
Develop and implement exciting project-based learning activities, incorporating both theoretical and practical elements of DT.
Support and guide students in designing, making, and evaluating their own products, promoting creativity and critical thinking.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
Work collaboratively with the DT department and other teaching staff to develop innovative curriculum resources.
Maintain a safe and organised classroom, ensuring students follow health and safety guidelines.
Encourage students to develop a passion for Design and Technology while supporting their personal growth.
✅ The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a qualified teacher with QTS and experience in teaching Design and Technology (specialism in Resistant Materials, Product Design, or Textiles is desirable).
Have a strong understanding of the DT curriculum at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Be creative, with a passion for inspiring students to engage in hands-on learning.
Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and be able to maintain a positive learning environment.
Have strong communication skills and be comfortable liaising with students, colleagues, and parents.
Be proactive, adaptable, and committed to supporting students’ individual learning needs.
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check.
