An exciting opening has arisen for a creative and versatile DT Teacher (Food and Art) to join the dedicated Design Technology department at Woking High School in Woking, Surrey. This role, commencing September 2025, offers flexibility with either a permanent contract or an initial long-term supply contract until October 24th, 2025, with strong potential for a permanent role thereafter for the right candidate. As a DT Teacher (Food and Art), You Will:
* Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in both Food Technology and Art to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Foster students' creative design skills, practical making abilities, and understanding of aesthetic and nutritional principles within both specialisms.
* Manage and maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organised learning environment in both workshop/kitchen and studio settings.
* Fulfil all responsibilities of a DT Teacher (Food and Art), including thorough planning, diligent marking of student work, and active participation in parent consultation evenings.
* Contribute to the development of the Design Technology curriculum, with a focus on Food and Art.
As a DT Teacher (Food and Art), You Offer:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Design Technology, Food Technology, Art, or a related field.
* Proven experience teaching Design Technology with specialisms in Food and Art at the secondary level (KS3 & KS4).
* A genuine interest in this specific DT Teacher (Food and Art) vacancy and a willingness to interview.
* The ability to commute to Woking High School (please note the station is a 25-minute walk from the school).
