Position: Development Manager
Location: Multiple Sites – Honduras Wharf - Birmingham B19, Edward Street - Birmingham B1, Wheatsheaf Works - Leicester LE2
Working Hours: Monday to Wednesday 0800 – 1800 and Thursday 0800 – 17:30
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: A permanent position

Development Details:
Honduras Wharf: A contemporary residential development located in the heart of Birmingham near the city centre.. The building features secure access, well-maintained communal areas, and professional property management services.
Edward Street: A modern residential development comprising 63 apartments. Situated in Birmingham’s vibrant B1 district, the new build offers high-specification interiors and a shared courtyard space at the first-floor level. Its location provides easy access to the city centre, including the National Indoor Arena (NIA) and Broad Street.
Wheatsheaf Works: A unique residential development in Leicester’s LE2 area, housed within a converted Grade II listed former boot and shoe factory. The project includes 98 townhouses and apartments within the historic building, complemented by 48 new timber-framed houses built on existing yard areas, totalling 146 homes. The development features secure gated access, landscaped communal areas, and a blend of historic charm with modern living.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
As a Development Manager at Rendall & Rittner (covering multiple developments):
You will be an experienced manager with strong health and safety experience in the real estate sector. You will have a good understanding of the current and changing health and safety regulations, statutory compliance, and especially fire regulations.
You have experience conducting property site inspections, ensuring health & safety regulations are adhered to, and having a basic working knowledge in building maintenance systems.
You will also conduct weekly fire testing, flush testing, plant room checks / M&E and general building safety to maintain building compliance and safety standards.
You will manage high-maintenance buildings and ensure safety and security measures focusing on breach of security, fire hazards etc. You will ensure appropriate measures are in place and being adhered to.
You’ll have a good understanding of M&E equipment.
You will be computer savvy, IT literate with a demonstrable track record in using different platforms.
You’ll be a leader who cares passionately about creating a positive and, most importantly, a safe environment for residents, guests, and your team.
