What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a genuine passion for Drama and a commitment to providing high-quality education. The ideal candidate will be:
* A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent).
* Experienced in teaching Drama at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Experience teaching Key Stage 5 (A-Level or BTEC) is desirable but not essential.
* Passionate about Drama and theatre, and able to inspire students of all abilities.
* An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills.
* Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of performance.
* A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community, including extra-curricular activities.
* Dedicated to their own professional development.
* A creative Drama Teacher
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Drama lessons across the relevant Key Stages.
* Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
* Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback, both written and verbal.
* Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress.
* Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes creativity and self-expression.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Performing Arts department and across the school.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of extra-curricular Drama activities, such as school productions and clubs.
* Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
* Ensure the safety of all pupils.
