Job Description

The role is currently part time but has the opportunity to become full time, and extented. We are seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner / Lead to provide high - quality care and learning opportunities for children 0 - 5. Practitioners would require the necessary skills to lead a room (upto 14 children) in our baby/ toddler room, and clearly demonstart their ability to maintain engaging learning environments for children in the Early Years. Commitment to the companies overall vision is essential and candidates would need to have a strong portfolio of evidence demonstrating how they support children in the early years grow, learn and thrive. Practitioners with good interpersonal skills, strong planning abilities and ambition to see tasks through to completion will flourish in this role. Candidates should demonstrate from their career, how they have impacted their field in education and understand how pivotal their role is in shaping young minds. Responsibilities of the Early Years Lead Practitioner * Ensure the provision of childcare is of a high quality at all times, in order to meet the needs of individual children from differing backgrounds, and stages of development. * Plan and implement high quality learning and development activities for all children across the setting, focusing on participation, development, learning and enjoyment. * Leading and managing a team of childcare practitioners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. * Monitoring children’s progress and wellbeing, providing support as needed. Responsible for ensuring learning milestones and children’s next step development milestones are met. * Driving initiatives that enhance the quality of care and education provided to children. Champion and reinforce positive behaviour, British values and promote the welfare of all children. * Providing formative assessments for children and extra support for children with extra learning and development needs. * Monitoring the effectiveness of early interventions strategies to support any identified needs. * Ensuring the day to day needs of the staff within the area are met to the requirement of outstanding standards. Benefits Early Years Lead Practitioner * Higher working bonuses * Professional development opportunities * Pensions * Additional annual leave allowance Candidates must have as a Early Years Lead Practitioner * Ability to demonstrate leadership skills. * Proven knowledge of using the EYFS and the Development Matter as a guide to plan, monitor and observe children's progress * Appropriate Level 4 - 6 qualification (or equivalent). * Enthusiastic, energetic individual, passionate about their field and career. * Successful candidates will be subject to DBS checks and must satisfy safeguarding requirements. * Confident practitioner, able to adjust delivery and structure according to age and ability, and work within the setting policies and procedures. * Safeguarding knowledge and experience of supporting children with SEND. * Excellent understanding and use of English language, and IT skills
