Educational Care Support
Location: Leeds
Type: Permanent
Pay/Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum
The Role:
Supporting a range of learners with a variety of complex learning, medical and physical needs.
Working alongside the class teacher, support staff and external agencies to help create a safe, accessible and nurturing learning environment for all students.
Assisting with medical support, moving and handling duties, and external apportionments/session such as physio and hydrotherapy.
Supporting on a 1:1 basis and across the classroom across lessons, sensory sessions, play activities and break times.
Ensure cleanliness and operations of the classroom and learning environment are kept up to the appropriate standard.
Supporting a range of different aged students with personal care, toilet support and hygiene care.The Ideal Applicant:
Previous experience supporting children and/or adults with varying complex learning, physical and medical needs and requirements.
Comfortable supporting and assisting with personal care and hygiene support, from younger to older age groups.
Open and willing to complete additional training for specific care-based support tasks, such as feeding, moving and handling, medication administration and more.
Help promote a positive learning environment, to help all learners from varying backgrounds and needs access all aspects of their education.
Energetic, reliable and committed to proving appropriate and professional educational care support.
