Educational Psychologist - Newbury - Up to £75,000 DOE About Our Client: We are delighted to be working in partnership with our client in Newbury, seeking a dynamic and experienced Education Psychologist to join their team. Our client is dedicated to providing high-quality services to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring their needs are met and their outcomes are optimised. They are committed to a collaborative and multi-agency approach, working closely with families, schools, and other stakeholders. Generous annual leave entitlement starting at 30 days per annum (plus public holidays) Rising by an additional 5 days after 5 years' service.Role Overview: As the Education Psychologist you will play a key role within the Education Psychologist in planning and implementing SEND & Inclusion delivery plans. You will lead and manage a team, working in partnership with Educational Psychologists. Your responsibilities will include the strategic development of multi-disciplinary services in line with government legislation and West Berkshire Council's approach to SEN, Mental Health, and Wellbeing. Key Responsibilities: Be part of the Children Services Senior Management Team, contributing to the planning and implementation of SEND & Inclusion delivery plans. Lead and manage a team, working in partnership with Educational Psychologists. Create and develop strategic multi-disciplinary developments in line with government and West Berkshire Council's approach to SEN, Mental Health, and Wellbeing. Work in partnership with the Local Authority and external agencies to ensure a streamlined approach to the delivery and implementation of projects. Work in partnership with schools to ensure effective service delivery and project implementation. Ensure services are delivered in accordance with relevant government legislation. Contribute to the strategic development of policies and procedures related to SEND. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND services, identifying areas for improvement. Manage budgets and resources effectively. Represent the organisation at relevant meetings and forums.Candidate Requirements: Must hold a Psychology qualification. Proven track record of service delivery in Social Care. Strong commitment to working in partnership with the Local Authority and external agencies. Experience in working in partnership with schools. In-depth knowledge of government legislation related to SEND. Excellent leadership and management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze complex information and make sound decisions. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills. Proficient in IT. Must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car.
