Sirona Medical are currently looking for an Educational Psycgologist in the Surrey area
Pay rate - £1150 per day
Location- Surrey
Job description:
supporting children and young people in their educational, home, and community settings. They use psychological principles and techniques to help those with learning, behavioral, or social-emotional difficulties, working with children, families, and professionals. This includes assessment, consultation, intervention, and professional development for school staff, often in collaboration with other agencies like the Virtual School and Mental Health Support Teams.
Assessment and Diagnosis:Conducting psychological assessments to understand a child's strengths and needs, and may recommend further assessments, like for ADHD, with other professionals.
Consultation and Advice:Providing guidance to schools and other settings on supporting children's learning, behavior, and social-emotional development.
Intervention and Support:Implementing strategies to address learning difficulties, behavior problems, and emotional needs, including therapeutic support.
Professional Development:Training school staff on topics like emotional literacy, literacy for all, and supporting children with emotionally based school avoidance.
Collaboration and Communication:Working with families, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for children and young people.
Service Development:Contributing to the development of the Educational Psychology Service, including initiatives related to inclusion, diversity, and equity.
Data Analysis and Research:Analyzing data related to student learning and development to inform practice and service improvement.
Supervision:Supervising trainees and supporting assistant EPs in their development.
Continuing Professional Development:Participating in training and development opportunities to maintain expertise and knowledge.
