Electrical Construction Manager – Data Centre Project – Helsinki, Finland
An international M&E contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across Europe is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join the site leadership team on a major data centre build in Helsinki. This is a full-time, permanent role offering long-term growth in a high-demand sector.
Our client specialises in turnkey delivery of mission-critical infrastructure and continues to expand its footprint in the data centre space. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrical professional to take ownership of onsite delivery, quality, and safety across electrical systems on a technically advanced project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all site-based electrical installation activities in accordance with project specifications and schedules.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and enforce best practices across subcontractors.
* Implement and maintain high levels of site housekeeping and quality control.
* Coordinate with the QA team to ensure proper documentation and quality assurance processes.
* Manage weekly lookahead planning, workforce allocation, and schedule adherence.
* Monitor progress, track subcontractor performance, and resolve issues impacting delivery.
* Review and manage material deliveries to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
* Support project closeout, including commissioning, O&M documentation, and punch list resolution.
* Collaborate with the project team to manage change control, including cost and programme impacts.
Requirements:
* Relevant Electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, HNC, BTEC, or NVQ).
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar site management role within M&E contracting.
* Proven background in delivering large-scale electrical installations—data centre experience is advantageous.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Proficiency with MS Word and Excel for reporting and coordination.
* Experience managing subcontractors and overseeing project safety, quality, and progress.
