We’re hiring for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a global engineering group at the forefront of automation and industrial vehicle innovation. Based out of a specialist European R&D facility near Farnborough, this role will see you working on next-generation automation and robotics projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting international design and development activities.

Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and test teams in a hands-on design roleElectrical Design Engineer Responsibilities:
Translate system requirements into validated electrical designs for automation projects
Produce and review electrical schematics, harness designs, and system architecture documentation
Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to develop integrated design solutions
Support testing of prototypes and production systems, analysing data and implementing improvements
Lead or contribute to internal design reviews, mentoring junior engineers where appropriate
Ensure compliance with global safety and electrical standards including IEC, UL, and SEMI
Work with procurement and manufacturing to optimise designs for production
Travel to other engineering and customer sites as requiredWhat We’re Looking For:
Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or related subject (essential)
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an electrical design or development environment (essential)
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or SolidWorks Electrical (essential)
Practical experience with control systems, PLCs, sensors, and CANbus/Modbus networks (desirable)
Hands-on testing and fault diagnostics experience (essential)
Functional safety awareness (IEC 61511, HAZOP, LOPA) and familiarity with CE/UL/EMC standards (desirable)
