Job Description

My client is a global manufacturing company looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their existing team. Driven by success and excellence they are looking for an experienced, Electrically biased engineer to support the production and products. Responsibilities for the role; * Support the production facility by setting wiring standards and ensuring the products are manufactured to the highest quality * Position yourself as the technical lead for Electrical standards internally * Regularly monitor production activity to ensure it is in line with weekly and monthly plan. * Trouble shoot any electrical issues * Electrical inspections of the manufactured product * Write standard operating procedures and quality documents * Monitor the production, analysing any issues that impacted on production and review and adapt the production plan as necessary * Ensure that the full requirements of the ISO system are met. * Training the production teams in electrical assembly * Supervise the work of the Production Operators so Electrical standards are adhered to * Liaise with the Stock co-ordinator to ensure all components and raw materials are ready * Liaise with the dispatch Coordinator to ensure finished goods are ready for despatch. * Support the daily and weekly Production meetings where necessary * Complete Works Orders on the internal ERP * Maintain a 5S system. * Supporting and motivating the production teams * Work with the teams to ensure that Health and Safety policies and Electrical procedures are adhered to. The ideal candidate will have; * Experience within a manufacturing environment * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Experience of control systems and wiring is essential * PLC awareness * Excellent planning and organisation skills * Experience of a supervisory role, training skills or a working in a similar support function * Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines * Proven ability to meet and exceed customer requirements * Good attention to detail * Computer literate * Excellent team player A time served Engineer is essential, working knowledge of Electrical standards, wiring and control systems but 18th edition BS7671 is desirable. Full product training will be given
