The Opportunity
An established and forward-thinking M&E contractor is looking to appoint an Electrical Estimator to join their pre-construction team. This role is open to either experienced estimators or electricians looking to step off the tools and into an office-based position.
You'll be working across a range of commercial and industrial projects, supporting the tender process and helping to ensure accurate, competitive bids.
Key Responsibilities
*
Interpreting drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
*
Producing take-offs and pricing labour, materials, and plant
*
Sourcing and negotiating prices from suppliers and subcontractors
*
Attending site visits and tender clarification meetings where needed
*
Working collaboratively with project and design teams to develop value engineering options
*
Supporting bid submissions and ensuring smooth handovers to project delivery teams
What We’re Looking For
*
Strong electrical background – either qualified on the tools or already working as an estimator
*
Familiarity with electrical installations in commercial/industrial environments
*
Good analytical and numerical skills
*
Comfortable with estimating software and MS Office
*
Eye for detail, good communication skills, and a team-focused mindset
