Job Description
Tripod Partners are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Inspector to join a specialist Building Services team supporting a large-scale residential portfolio in Islington. This role focuses on inspections, reporting, and quality assurance of electrical installations across over 35,000 homes, including more than 200 high-rise buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in domestic/residential electrical installations and be confident producing professional reports and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Carry out inspections of low and high-rise residential buildings.
*
Monitor and record the progress of electrical works on site.
*
Identify and report issues related to specifications, health & safety, regulations, or engineering standards.
*
Produce technical documentation including condition reports and feasibility studies.
*
Attend project progress meetings and liaise with Project Managers and Engineers.
*
Participate in snagging and quality assurance procedures with contractors.
*
Assist with the handover process using the soft landings approach.
*
Engage with residents and handle customer concerns where necessary.
*
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure project standards.
Position Details:
Location: Islington (hybrid working available)
Duration: 3-month rolling contract
Hours: 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day
Pay Rate: £45.83 per hour
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, flexible hours (core 10:00–12:00 & 14:00–16:00)
Requirements:
*
City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installations.
*
IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition (essential).
*
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
*
In-depth knowledge of domestic/residential electrical installations.
*
Strong communication and reporting skills.
*
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Microsoft Teams.
*
UK-recognised qualifications.
