Your Role and Responsibilities As part of the project team, your key responsibilities will include: Working closely with the team to review the project estimate or tender, ensuring a full understanding of the project's scope, requirements, risks, and deliverables as outlined by the client. Planning and allocating the appropriate resources to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably. Sharing all relevant project information-including contract terms, specifications, technical drawings, and company policies-with the delivery team to support smooth execution. Leading, supporting, and developing the team throughout the project, maintaining high morale and positive working relationships across all levels. Building and maintaining strong, cooperative relationships with the client, ensuring clear understanding of our construction responsibilities and seeking opportunities for contract growth. Overseeing the timely and accurate production of engineering, installation, and design documentation, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, client standards, and statutory requirements. Managing procurement, materials, and cost control processes effectively, contributing to up-to-date schedules and financial reports for management. Ensuring that installation, testing, and commissioning activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards, the installation plan, and client expectations. Preparing and submitting accurate weekly and monthly progress and productivity updates in line with company reporting procedures. Supporting internal safety, quality, and financial audits, helping implement improvements and resolving any identified issues. Providing clear, data-backed feedback on project performance compared to initial estimates, to support future tendering efforts. What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll need: A solid background in electrical engineering, ideally with experience in rail-related projects. A degree in a relevant field is preferred, though a minimum of an ONC (or equivalent experience) is required. Proven experience in a management role within the construction or support services industries, along with a strong grasp of technical aspects and developments in the rail and cabling sectors.
