Electrical Project Manager – Heritage & Super-Prime Residential Projects
£65,000–£75,000 + Travel | 1 Day Office (South London), 4 Days Site-Based | Project Values: £500k–£2m | 26 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
We’re working with a specialist electrical contractor known for delivering exceptional standards across London’s most prestigious residential projects. With a strong pipeline of heritage refurbishments and super-prime new builds, they’re now looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead delivery on multiple high-spec schemes.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing projects ranging from £500k to £2 million in value, ensuring each is completed to the highest technical and aesthetic standards. This is a hands-on role requiring a blend of site presence, client liaison, and commercial oversight. Projects often include complex systems such as Lutron lighting, AV integration, and BMS, set within heritage or listed buildings requiring careful coordination.
Working Pattern:
You’ll spend four days on site and one day in the South London office, leading from the front and ensuring work progresses smoothly, safely, and in line with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
*
Manage full project lifecycle from pre-start meetings through to commissioning and final handover
*
Coordinate drawings, procurement, installation, testing, and completion schedules
*
Take ownership of quality control, programme management, and cost control
*
Oversee subcontractors and in-house teams, ensuring compliance with BS7671 and site standards
*
Handle RAMS, progress reports, variations, and client updates with clarity and professionalism
*
Work closely with design teams, AV specialists, and lighting control providers (e.g., Lutron)
*
Ensure timely resolution of issues, clear communication between teams, and strong on-site leadership
*
Balance the requirements of working in heritage environments with the demands of modern, high-spec installations
*
Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors
*
Manage H&S compliance, inspections, and sign-off processes
What You’ll Need
*
Proven experience delivering electrical packages in prime or super-prime residential projects
*
Familiarity with heritage refurbishment, listed buildings, and high-end finishes
*
Strong technical knowledge of Lutron, BMS, and AV/home automation systems
*
Full understanding of BS7671, H&S standards, and project documentation requirements
*
Confident in managing programmes, coordinating labour, and controlling costs
*
ECS Gold Card, SMSTS or equivalent qualifications preferred
