Electrical Project / Contracts Manager

NuTrade Recruitment is partnering with a leading national M&E contractor specializing in the Rail, MOD, and Food Processing sectors. We are looking for an experienced and driven Electrical Projects Manager to oversee electrical projects, manage teams, and ensure high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Plan, execute, and oversee electrical projects from start to finish.
Develop project timelines, budgets, and allocate resources effectively.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruptions and optimize production.
Prepare and review estimates and tenders for electrical installations.
Resource Management:
Manage project resources and labour to maintain productivity.
Forecast labour needs and address resource gaps.
Implement strategies for recruitment and retention of skilled talent.
Team Management:
Lead and coordinate teams of project engineers, supervisors, and electricians.
Set clear goals, provide training, and monitor team performance.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Client Relations:
* Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring project updates and resolving issues promptly.
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business.
Compliance & Safety:
* Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and industry standards.
* Conduct regular site inspections and maintain accurate documentation.
* Update safety and compliance practices as per regulatory changes.
P&L Responsibility:
* Manage project budgets and control costs effectively.
* Analyse financial performance and report to senior management.
* Implement strategies to meet financial targets.
Estimating & Tendering:
* Review project specifications and conduct site visits.
* Prepare accurate cost estimates and formal quotations.
* Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Industry Expertise:
* Design and implement electrical systems in the FMCG manufacturing sector.
* Integrate systems to optimize production efficiency and safety.
* Apply innovative solutions to improve electrical processes and reduce costs.
Continuous Improvement:
* Identify opportunities to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency.
* Drive initiatives to improve systems and processes.
Person Specification:
* Apprentice-trained in Electrical Engineering/Installation.
* 10+ years of experience in electrical project management within FMCG manufacturing.
* Relevant certifications: 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations, HNC Electrical Engineering, SSSTS/SMSTS.
* Strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills.
