Job Description
Peterborough & Surrounding Areas | £40, – 50,000 per year | Van + Fuel Card | Commercial Installations
We are working in partnership with a well-respected electrical contractor based near Peterborough, known for delivering high-quality commercial electrical installations across a wide range of environments — including offices, care homes, hospitals, schools, and food manufacturing facilities.
They are now looking to add an experienced Electrician or Approved Electrician to their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on, varied role involving both small-scale projects and larger commercial installations that can run for six months or more. Typical work includes:
*
Electrical installations in care homes, hospitals, schools, factories, offices, and production facilities
*
Working across the Peterborough area, with projects in Huntingdon, Cambridge, Northampton, Spalding, and Bourne
*
Occasional travel further afield as required
Candidate Requirements:
*
Ideally 10+ years’ experience in commercial electrical work
*
Apprenticeship-trained (preferred)
*
JIB Gold Card (preferred)
*
Full UK driving licence (essential)
*
Strong understanding of commercial installations and ability to work across different environments
Salary & Benefits:

£40,000 – £50,000 per year, depending on experience
*
Future opportunity to progress into a supervisory role at £59,000 per year
