Role details:
Our client, operating within the defence and security sector, is seeking a Electronics Design (Test Design Support) Engineer to join their team based in Bolton on a contract basis. This is a unique opportunity to significantly impact the production activities at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Acting as a liaison between design teams and manufacturing teams
Providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle
Working on advanced missile programmes and subsystems
Supporting launcher assemblies and other unique opportunities
Delivering specific work packages, preparing bids, and managing costs
Engaging with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of outputs
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
Investigating root causes of design issues and proposing corrective actions
Job Requirements:
Background in electronics design
Experience with Radio Frequency (RF), Electronics Design, and PCB
Proven design experience in digital and analogue electronics, power electronics, RF & antenna, and interconnects
Experience in test systems and safety electronics
Strong schematic and PCB design skills
Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
Capability to write clear and concise engineering documentation
