An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and execution of innovative engineering projects in the Energy, Power, and Renewables sector. This role is highly flexible with hybrid working and offices based in Co. Waterford and Dublin.
The Engineering Manager will oversee high-impact projects that advance renewable energy solutions and optimize power generation infrastructure. This leadership role demands a strong technical foundation, strategic vision, and the ability to inspire and guide a team of talented engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning, design, and execution of energy sector projects.
Ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
Provide technical leadership across renewable energy systems and power generation initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and compliance.
Stay current with evolving technologies, trends, and regulations in the energy domain.
Champion the integration of cutting-edge solutions such as smart grids and energy storage.
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and ongoing professional development.
Act as the primary technical liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for executive and partner audiences.
Build and sustain relationships with regulatory bodies, utility firms, and industry groups.
Manage engineering budgets, forecasts, and resource planning to ensure efficient delivery.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional Engineering license or equivalent certification highly desirable.
Proven track record in managing complex, large-scale energy projects.
Expertise in renewable energy technologies, power generation, and energy storage.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Deep understanding of energy systems, EMS, SCADA, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience with grid integration, energy market dynamics, and smart energy solutions.
