Job Description
A leading food manufacturing business are looking for a Engineering Shift Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the high-quality production of products enjoyed by consumers nationwide. As the Engineering Shift Manager you will be responsible for driving engineering improvements, maintenance of machinery and supporting on breakdowns.
Shift pattern for the role is 4 on 4 off days & nights
Salary £50,000 to £60,000 plus Benefits
What You Will Do:
- Lead and manage the Engineering Shift, ensuring all activities on site are supported with top-notch maintenance procedures.
- Guarantee a safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Oversee the performance of fast-moving production lines, ensuring equipment operates at peak efficiency.
- Conduct regular assessments of maintenance procedures and implement improvements where necessary.
- Manage and develop a team of Shift Engineers and Apprentices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
What You Will Bring:
- A minimum of an HNC certification or Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering.
- At least 6 years of engineering experience, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience in managing and developing teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to make decisive decisions under pressure.
- A self-motivated attitude with a knack for multitasking in a time line-driven environment.
