Tradewind Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a passionate and inspiring English and Drama Teacher to work on a long-term supply basis at a supportive secondary school in Nottingham, starting September 2025.
Whether you're an experienced practitioner or an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT), this is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging English and Drama lessons within a warm and compassionate school environment where staff make a real difference to students' lives.
The Role:
As an English and Drama Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
Teaching English and Drama across KS3 and KS4 within allocated classes
Planning and delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students
Monitoring academic progress and implementing strategies to address underachievement
Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress and attainment
This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about both literature and performance, and who values creativity, self-expression, and student engagement.
What We're Looking For:
A qualified English/Drama Teacher (QTS / PGCE or equivalent)
Experience teaching at secondary level
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A current DBS certificate (or willingness to apply for one)
