A thriving secondary school in Wigan is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative English Teacher to join their dynamic department and ignite a love for language and literature.
Location: WN3
Pay: £160 – £210 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: Immediate
The Role – English Teacher:
In this exciting role, you'll be delivering high-quality English lessons that equips students with essential skills and fosters academic and personal growth.
Your key duties will include:
Teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, delivering the English curriculum that includes classic and contemporary texts, writing skills, and language analysis.
Planning and delivering stimulating, student-centred lessons that promote curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom culture where every student feels valued and empowered to achieve.
Working collaboratively within a forward-thinking English department, sharing ideas and resources to continuously enhance teaching practice.
Offering tailored guidance and encouragement to students, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds QTS, PGCE, or a comparable qualification in English or a related subject area.
Possesses a solid grasp of English literature and language, and the ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
Demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm for the subject and a commitment to student engagement and success.
Has excellent classroom management skills and a talent for building positive, respectful relationships with students.
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the update service or is happy to obtain one via Smile Education.
