English Teacher | Rickmansworth | Full-Time | September Start Paid to Scale Supply Desk is currently seeking a motivated and passionate English Teacher to join a school in Rickmansworth on a full-time basis from September. Job Description: Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons that cater to a range of abilities. Teach literature, language, and writing skills, inspiring students to develop a strong understanding and appreciation of the subject. Develop creative and interactive lesson plans that encourage active participation and independent thinking. Prepare students for assessments and examinations, providing effective strategies to support their progress. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering enthusiasm for learning. Offer guidance on reading comprehension, writing techniques, and analytical skills to help students excel. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student development. Participate in school-wide initiatives, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities. Our Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications. Unqualified welcome to apply aswell. Have experience teaching English, ideally at secondary level. Be passionate, knowledgeable, and engaging, with a commitment to high-quality English education. Have excellent classroom management skills, creating a stimulating and disciplined learning environment. Possess strong communication skills, helping students develop confidence in their writing and speaking abilities. Hold or be willing to obtain a clear DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
