An inspiring and dedicated English Teacher is required to join an Outstanding mixed school in Barnet for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will cultivate a love for literature and language in students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16), fostering their critical thinking and communication skills.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a diverse range of literary texts and language concepts.
* Prepare students effectively for GCSE English Language and Literature examinations, developing their analytical and writing abilities.
* Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages thoughtful discussion and articulate expression of ideas.
* Assess and monitor student progress in English, providing insightful feedback to support their literary and linguistic development.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in English Language and Literature.
* Demonstrated experience teaching English Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
* A strong and comprehensive knowledge of English literature, language, and effective pedagogical approaches.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring a passion for reading, writing, and critical analysis in students.
