Are you a passionate and dedicated English Secondary Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of learners? Smile Education are seeking a talented individual to join a large and thriving English department at well-established secondary school in Wolverhampton rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The school is senior, with children from Year 9 to Year 11 and are part of their own federation, the role would be maternity cover, with opportunities in the other schools following the 1 year contract. What Makes You a Great Fit for This Role:
Must have a (Qualified Teacher Status) QTS or have a degree in English.
An Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a supportive environment to begin your teaching journey
Passion for English, teaching and helping young people succeed.
Experience working in a classroom or tutoring environment is desirable.
Ability to work with students on a 1:1, group, and class basis.
A full enhanced DBS check (can be processed through Smile Education).
A determined, hard – working attitude!About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will prepare lessons and learning materials.
You will use your own passion to inspire the younger generation.
You will focus on helping students who need extra support with their work, ensuring they grasp essential concepts to improve their academic progress, exam results, and coursework.
Providing feedback to students and parents, through consultation evenings, phone calls or written communication as appropriate.
