Our consistently Outstanding school in Barking, East London, offers an exciting full-time opportunity for a talented and dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join our successful Technology department from September 2025. If you are passionate about empowering students with practical skills and design knowledge, and seeking a full-time role in a supportive environment within the Barking community, we encourage you to apply.
As our Full-Time Design Technology Teacher, you will:
* Deliver High-Quality DT Instruction: Plan and deliver engaging and effective Design Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially 5, in our Barking school.
* Foster Creativity and Problem-Solving: Create a supportive and inspiring learning environment where students can explore their design ideas and develop innovative solutions to real-world problems within the Barking context.
* Utilize Excellent Resources: Have access to well-equipped workshops, CAD/CAM facilities, and a range of materials to support practical learning and design innovation in our Barking school.
* Work Collaboratively: Be an active and valued member of our supportive Technology department in Barking.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Design Technology teacher with experience teaching across the secondary age range. Strong subject knowledge across a range of materials and processes, including CAD/CAM, and excellent classroom management skills are essential, with an understanding of the local Barking industrial heritage being an advantage.
