English Teacher (SEN) IMMEDIATE START
Enfield, North London
£200 - £245 per day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)
Start: ASAP/Feb 2025
Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs?
A specialist SEN school in Enfield is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their team for an immediate start. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on the learning and development of students with autism and complex needs.
The Role:
Full-time English Teacher position
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to secondary-aged pupils with a range of SEN, including ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition)
Plan, deliver, and assess learning that meets individual education plans (IEPs)
Work closely with a supportive team including therapists, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes progress and wellbeing
The School:
A highly supportive SEN provision catering for students aged 11-16
Excellent facilities and resources to support student learning and teacher development
Strong emphasis on personalised learning, communication development, and life skills
Collaborative and welcoming staff team
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience working within an SEN setting is highly desirable
A passion for teaching students with additional needs and an adaptable, patient approach
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Current, enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
