As an English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in engaging and inspiring students through a dynamic and creative curriculum. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons and fostering a love for literature and language while ensuring academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver innovative and challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable).
Develop engaging and differentiated resources to support student learning.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.
Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level exams, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the school’s English department.
Participate in school-wide activities, including extra-curricular English clubs, workshops and interventions.
Requirements:
Must have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
A degree in English or a closely related subject.
Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level, with a strong track record of student achievement.
Strong pedagogical knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum for English.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff and parents.
A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
