We are seeking a passionate and inspiring English Teacher to join a dynamic, forward-thinking secondary school in Watford from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on students’ learning and development in a school that values academic excellence and fosters a love of literature and language.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS3/KS4).
Inspire students to develop a deep understanding of English literature and language.
Support and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports all students, including those with SEN.
Contribute to the school’s wider educational ethos and participate in extracurricular activities when required.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide professional development initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
Be a passionate, engaging, and knowledgeable teacher of English.
Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.
Have a strong understanding of the English curriculum, assessment methods, and the latest educational practices.
Be able to build strong relationships with students and staff, and be proactive in supporting student welfare.
