Job Description
Estate Surveyor
Location: St Albans/Hybrid
Rate: £49.00 per hour (Umbrella)
We are currently seeking an experienced Estate Surveyor to join a local authority. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the effective management and development of the Council’s property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake a broad range of estate and asset management duties across both housing and non-housing property assets.
Manage landlord and tenant matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
Carry out statutory asset valuations and support the Right to Buy process.
Oversee and process various property transactions, including:
Disposals
Licence agreements
Relaxation of restrictive covenants
Wayleaves
Requirements:
Proven experience in estate and asset management, ideally within a public sector or local authority context.
Strong understanding of landlord and tenant legislation.
Ability to carry out property valuations and manage transactional work.
Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS) is desirableBefore You Apply
