Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire
Salary: £42,000 to £52,000
Industry: Construction, Pre-Construction
Working Pattern: HYBRID (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
An opportunity has opened for an Estimator to join a Construction company based just outside of Didcot. The ideal candidate will have strong experience of estimation within a construction business working on groundworks and foundations. You will also have experience within the commercial industry.
The company are offering a hybrid working schedule with 3 days being onsite and 2 days remote working. There is no travel required for this position to other client sites.
Estimator Key Skills:
* Experience working as an Estimator or similar in the construction industry
* Groundworks experience, pre-construction phase
* Excellent estimation skills and knowledge of construction materials
* Estimation software knowledge – company are open on adapting to your preferred software
* Excellent BoQ documentation standards in line with SMM7 / NRM2
* Full UK Driving License
Estimator Responsibilities:
* Working with the Directors assisting with all tenders at the company
* Providing estimates of prices and quantities for client projects
* Using estimation software to update and produce BoQ
* Liaising with the supply chain with pricing updates
* Assist with presentations for tender bids with clients
* Some surveying may be required but not regularly
