Position Highlights:
Role: Estimator - Residential Groundworks
Location: Southampton (office-based with potential site visits as required)Key Responsibilities:
Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for residential groundworks projects
Analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive tender submissions
Identifying project risks and presenting solutions to mitigate potential issues
Collaborating with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain quotations and ensure cost accuracy
Monitoring and managing project costs, providing regular updates and reports
Applying value engineering principles to maximize efficiency and profitability
Maintaining a solid understanding of current market trends, materials, and construction methodologiesDesired Experience and Skills:
Previous experience as an Estimator in the residential groundworks sector
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Proficient in industry-relevant software and tools
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Sound understanding of cost management and construction practices
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environmentSalary:
