Job Description
Our client, a well-established roofing contractor based in the North West, is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team.
Known for delivering high-quality roofing solutions across commercial and residential projects, they are looking for a professional who can bring accuracy, efficiency, and a strong understanding of the construction process to their growing operations.
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotes for a range of roofing projects, including flat and pitched roofing systems as well as bespoke architectural finishes.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications to compile cost estimates
Carry out material take-offs and create detailed bills of quantities
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
Collaborate closely with project and commercial teams to ensure accurate budgeting and profitability
Attend relevant pre- and post-tender meetings as required
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar estimating role within roofing or general construction
Strong numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with estimation and take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel, or similar)
A good understanding of roofing systems, materials, and installation processes
